HOW TO REGISTER TO BE AN UMPIRE
- Log into the GFLL website (www.gflittleleague.org). This should take you to the “My Account” page. (If you do not already have an account, you will need to create one).
- There will be a list of “Participants” on your screen. Find the person who wants to be an umpire and click on the green “X Programs Available” button next to the person’s name. (NOTE: DO NOT click on the VOLUNTEER button on the left side of the screen. This is not where Umpires sign up)
- In the list of available programs, there should be one called “Umpire Registration <SEASON YEAR>.” If this option is not available, there are two potential reasons why. First, the person you are trying to register does not meet the age requirements to be an umpire. The second reason is that there is an error and you should contact us via email ([email protected]).
- Click the “Select” button next to “Umpire Registration <SEASON YEAR>” and then click the “Continue” button.
- Complete all of the required fields and then click the “Continue” button.
- You will now be on the Registration Summary page. Review the information and click on the “Continue” button.
- You will be asked to confirm your Payment Information. Even though there is no charge to be an umpire, this information is required. Click the “Continue” button.
- You will now be on the Order Review and Submission Page. Please click the “Submit Order” button at the bottom of the page.
- Once you have landed on the Order Confirmation page, you have completed the Umpire Registration Process. Thank you!

Umpires
Great Falls Little League depends upon umpires to officiate baseball and softball games. Both adults and youth are encouraged to volunteer to provide this essential service. The League's umpires come from two categories:
1. Adult Umpires: Persons over 21 who have successfully completed the umpire training conducted by the Chief Umpire. Adult volunteers perform without reimbursement.
2. Youth Umpires: Full time students, usually age 18 or younger who have successfully completed the umpire training conducted each year by the Chief Umpire. Youth volunteers are given a stipend for providing umpiring services.
ADULT UMPIRES
All it takes is the desire to help our children learn the game of baseball/softball and the personal commitment to help umpire a few games a season.
Training: Great Falls Little League will provide each volunteer with thorough training and direction well in advance of your first game. The training is FREE and your umpire equipment is provided by Great Falls Little League.
Great Falls Little League is proud to have a robust Youth Umpire Program. This program supplements the Adult Volunteer Umpire Program, but we still need adult umpires! If you would like to learn more about adult umpiring opportunities, please contact our Chief Umpire, Bill Mahon ([email protected]).
YOUTH UMPIRES
Great Falls Little League is proud to have an extensive Youth Umpire Program. This program supplements the Adult Volunteer Umpire Program to ensure all GFLL games are outfitted with trained and qualified umpires. For detailed information about the Umpire Programs, please review the FAQs below.
