The normal registration period runs until February 22.  The Late Registration period is from February 23 through February 29 for AA, AAA and Majors. A $40 late fee will be added. Players that register after the close of the late registration period will be placed on a waiting list pending openings. Late Registration will continue until March 8, 2012 for Tee Ball, Coach Pitch.

For ALL who have registered to umpire in the Spring 2012 season, umpire training will be held as follows:

When & Where
Saturday  March 24   11:00am-4:00pm Start at Forestville Elementary, end on Nike 1 (for on field training)
Sunday     March 25   12:30pm-5:30pm         All on Nike 1

Each session is the same, so you only need to attend one of them.

What if it rains?  Tough beans, we do this rain or shine.  Dress appropriately for the weather.

Who needs to attend?  This year, the answer is EVERYONE.  There are some rules changes that we ALL need to understand.  If you are an experienced umpire (2 or more years of umpiring), I will release you after the first two hours.   If you are an inexperienced umpire (1 year or less) and you do not attend, you will not be allowed to umpire – NO EXCEPTIONS.

What do you need to bring?  Nothing, just yourself.  I will provide food (pizza) and water.  I will also hand out your gear (caps, shirts, brushes, ball/strike indicators, and rule books).

PARENTS:  I will not leave the ballpark until ALL non-driving youth umpires have been picked up BY YOU or you explicitly tell me it is OK for them to do something else (like go to a friend’s house or get picked up by someone else).  I will lose no child on my watch.
