Coach Pitch League (6-8 year olds)
The purpose of the Coach Pitch League is to teach players basic and proper technique for fielding, throwing, catching, and hitting a softball. This is an instructional league where coaches may interrupt the game, at the completion of a play, to instruct players. There are no strikeouts and generally, each batter has a turn at bat each inning. Coaches pitch to batters and a hitting tee is used if a player fails to hit the ball after 7 pitches. Each player plays every inning defensively and is in the batting order. Teams practice once during the week and play a game on Saturday.
AA League (8-9 year olds)
The AA League is a more competitive league that introduces and reinforces additional rules and aspects of the game. While play may not be interrupted at the conclusion of a play, coaches will, within reason, be allowed to liberally use time-outs to discuss strategy with their teams. This league uses a Pitching Machine during all innings of a game. Ten players are present on the field defensively. Each player plays at least 3 innings in the field and all players are in the batting lineup. Players are disbursed through a player draft to various teams. All players will attend a pre-season tryout prior to the draft. The child must be at least 8 years old to participate in this league. During the week, teams practice once and play one game. An additional game will be played on Saturday.
AAA League (9-11 year olds)
The AAA League is a competitive league that introduces and reinforces more advanced rules such as pitching, stealing, and defensive control of the ball. This league uses a combination of Pitching Machine and Girl Pitch during games. Ten players are present on the field defensively. Each player plays at least 3 innings in the field and all players are in the batting lineup. Players are disbursed through a player draft to various teams. All players attend a pre-season tryout prior to thedraft. the child must be at least 9 years old to participate in this league unless you have arranged a personal evaluation during tryouts. During the week, teams will practice once and play one game. An additional game will be played on Saturday.
Majors (11-12 year olds)
The Major League is a competitive league using all formal rules of softball. Players are disbursed through a player draft to various teams. All players attend a pre-season tryout prior to the draft. Player ages are primarily ages eleven (11) and twelve (12), but some players age ten (10) can petition the league to play up, if the player’s talent warrants the move as determined by Tryout. During the week, teams practice once and play one game. An additional game will be played on Saturday.
Seniors (13-16 year olds)
The Seniors League is a competitive league that provides a venue for girls to play softball until, or through, high school. Players are disbursed through a player draft to various teams. Little League rules of softball are utilized. Teams practice once during the week as well as play one game. An additional game will be played on Saturday.
