We are pleased to announce that Spring batting and pitching clinics will begin next Sunday from 2-3:30 at Nike 6. The softball league pays for these clinics with the proceeds from our spiritwear sales so please keep supporting our spiritwear!
We expect all girls who want to pitch this spring season to either be attending clinics or be working with a private pitcher. Pitching time preferences will be given to those girls who are devoting the time to build their pitching skills and who coaches feel are ready to pitch in a game situation. Pitchers will need to bring a catcher to the clinics. Older siblings, friends who can catch, a catcher on your team or parents are welcome to serve in this role.
Our instructors:
Mike Sharkey will be the head instructor for batting clinics. Coach Sharkey is the Assistant Coach of the Langley High School Varsity softball team and the Head Coach of the 12U Great Falls Sharks, and has been leading our clinics for several years.
Rachel Zabriskie will be the head instructor for pitching clinics. Coach Zabriskie had a successful pitching career during her four college years at Iowa State—a Division I program in the Big 12 Conference. She also received many softball high school accolades in Austin Texas. Coach Zabriskie is the head coach of our GFLL Seniors team and is assisting with one of the GFLL softball majors teams. We are excited to have Rachel join our program.
